- Pipe Casket from Hearse into Church (may include Processional, if Church allows it)
- Pipe Casket from Church to Hearse (may include Recessional, if Church allows it)
- Pipe as Hearse is Driven Away (unless the bagpiper is going to the cemetery, bagpiper will leave first)
A few churches prefer not to have bagpipes played within the church sanctuary, so we usually stay at the rear of the church, in the narthex, vestibule or foyer area. If you want bagpiping inside the church please speak to your priest, pastor, minister or musical director to obtain permission.
Cemetery Chapel or Graveside Package
(approx. fee range $250 to $300)
- Pipe as Procession Arrives and Family gets out of Vehicles
- Pipe Casket into Chapel / to Graveside
- Pipe for Lowering of Casket (at Graveside)
- Pipe as Family & Friends Exit the Chapel / Leave the Graveside
Pipe at conclusion of interment service, either as family files past casket or as family leaves (normally finishes with bagpiper walking off into distance, with music fading away).
Most cemetery chapels are small, so we typically play outside before and after the service.
Home, Church & Cemetery Combined Packages

All prices are only a rough guide and are quoted for a solo bagpiper. No two funerals are exactly the same, so please contact us to discuss your specific requirements and to obtain an accurate quote. Prices can be provided for additional bagpipers or drummers and also for full or partial portions of packages.
Chicalba Bagpiping Services will provide professional bagpipers in all weather conditions and throughout the coldest winter months. These bagpipers will play outside wherever possible and only seek refuge from the elements when absolutely necessary.
There may be occasions where the temperature drops below a safe level for both the bagpiper and the instrument. Chicalba will make every effort to keep both the family and the funeral director aware of this during particularly cold spells.
